Disneyland's Birthday Club Scavenger Hunt!

It's my Birthday!
... and the folks at the resort thought they would send me this fun scavenger hunt to participate in next time I visit the park. Well... that won't be for a little while unfortunately, Soooo! I thought I'd bring this to you guys and let you have fun with it :) After the answers are filled, you unscramble the code, and enter it on the website in your birthday email to get your "Birthday Surprise". Which I think is a wallpaper background...

By myself, I didn't do too well from memory.  There are a few things you really wouldn't have noticed or even looked at.  Maybe you guys can do better! Happy Hunting!

*Please print it out if you'd like to :) Just click it and zoom for the best quality*

Feel free to post your answers in the comments below. I have mine written down already so I promise I won't cheat! ;)

Rivers of America gets it's refill

This week marked the end of the refurb for the Rivers of America. Along with replanting and painting existing scenes/props, Imagineers also created some new scene attractions along the riverbanks which are now separated into 4 different regions: Mississippi, Rio Grande, Colombia,  & Potomac. A few of these new additions are actually ideas presented in the very early sketches of the  Rivers of America by Disney collaberators such as Marc Davis and Sam McKim.
The OC register posted this little guide map to the new locations...

After the river was drained in January, Disney crews:
•Installed a new 2,500-foot track for the Mark Twain Riverboat and the Sailing Ship Columbia for the first time since the park opened in 1955.
•Built a corral for two live ponies. (It is the first time live animals are long the banks).
•Planted 4,000 new shrubs and 130 new trees that look like the river regions.
•Added 10 new figures and repainted about 16 old ones, either plants or animals.
•Posted Mike Fink’s Keel Boat in front of the cabin.
•Put in a new paddle wheel on the Mark Twain Riverboat.
•Replaced nine of the 11 docks.

We'll all be able to see the new additions starting this saturday, May 8th aboard the Disneyland Railroad. The Mark Twain will not be running until later this month. Click to read the Full Article

Unusual Items found in Rivers of America

This year was the big Rivers of America refurb in Disneyland park. This is the first time Disney has drained the entire area in 7 years! Can u imagine all the treasures which have fallen to their watery grave in that amount of time?

The OC register put out an article in their "Around Disney" section highlighting all the strange and random things workers have found at the bottom of the river. (No dead bodies this time...) Included in the list of artifacts is half a Canoe! How in the world do you leave half a canoe at the bottom of the river?? and none of the Disney hoity toities figured they should retrieve it? maybe they forgot... "Oh Ya! That's where that half of the canoe went!"

To read all the odds and ends discovered here's a link to the FULL ARTICLE :
